Background. Gallstone ileus is a rare complication of cholelithiasis accounting for 0.3–2.1% total acute intestinal obstructions. The recent years are witnessing sharply elevated incidence and its entailed complications. major diagnostic biases the atypical clinical presentation, instrumental laboratory evidence, relative paucity surgical cases. Aim. Highlighting to surgeons feasibility this reluctantly diagnosed form small bowel obstruction. Materials methods. article presents observations gallstone-induced obstruction collected at surgery unit Bashkir State Medical University Clinic. Patients had surgeries cholecystoduodenal fistula embolisation, gastro/enterotomy lithoextraction followed by wound suturing. Results discussion. benign postoperative period were discharged in satisfactory condition on day 7–10 after outpatient surveillance. Conclusion. Surgeons need contemplate pathology ensure timely diagnosis treatment, as well avoid possible Mostly important still gallbladder resection upon diagnosing via laparoscopic cholecystectomy “gold standard” treatment disease.
